How to Book the Content Creation Studio

The Content Creation Studio is free to use for all York College students, faculty, and staff.

We use Microsoft Bookings to manage all reservations. Before starting any new production, you’re required to attend a one-time 10-minute pre-production meeting with our studio staff. You can book this meeting in person or online using the link below.

If technical issues occur during your scheduled online meeting, you can call us at 718-262-2759, or we will call you.



What to Expect in the Pre-Production Meeting:

  • Discuss the type of content you’re planning to create
  • Determine whether you need studio staff to assist with live camera switching
  • Schedule your podcast or video production session
  • Complete the required Content Creation Agreement Form

We recommend bringing your own portable HDD or SSD with at least 250–500GB of space.
Each podcast session averages around 28GB of data.

Media Storage Guidelines:

Note: We only store your footage for 14 days after your production date. Make sure to retrieve your files promptly.

Editing Policy:

Editing is your responsibility as the director/producer.
We do not offer editing services at this time, though we are working to expand staff in order to provide this support in the future.

Feel free to stop by the Content Creation Studio during our open hours to check out the setup, ask questions, or get inspired.

Studio Policy on Attendance:

Please arrive on time. You are granted a 15-minute grace period.
After 15 minutes, we will begin setting up for the next scheduled production.
